The former (and future) Michael Bluth seems to be doing just fine with making a family of his own.
"Arrested Development" star Jason Bateman and his wife Amanda Anka are the proud parents of a baby girl. The couple welcomed their second child, Maple Sylvie Bateman, on Friday, Feb. 10 in Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Maple joins the family as little sister to the Batemans' other daughter, Francesca Nora, age 5.
For the record, we must admit that while "Francesca Nora" is a pretty cool name, it's not quite as cool as "Maple Sylvie."
We're now imagining that life is imitating "The Change-Up" as Jason Bateman is frantically changing Maple Sylvie's diaper whilst swingin' single Ryan Reynolds stands around bragging about his latest sexual conquest. We don't think the scenario will go so far as Bateman and Reynolds actually switching bodies ... but you never know.
Jason Bateman has been absent from movie screens since last summer's body-switching comedy but is currently in post production on "The Longest Week" and "Disconnect," both of which will hit theaters sometime this year. He's currently in pre-production on the crime comedy, "Identity Theft," co-starring Melissa McCarthy, and will return as Michael Bluth in the feature film adaptation of "Arrested Development," hopefully sooner rather than later.
