Every year, Halloween gives kids and adults alike a chance to indulge in a little wish fulfillment. Always wanted to be a pirate, or a witch or a sports star? Just put on the right costume and your fantasy becomes reality, at least for one night.
And then there's Jamie Foxx, who spent Halloween dressed up as Marvel Comics supervillain Electro — and who now is reportedly in talks to actually play Electro on the big screen in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" according to Variety.
Talk about your Halloween treat.
Of course, it's been rumored that Electro would be the villain in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" ever since the final sequences in this summer's hit "The Amazing Spider-Man," as a shadowy — and apparently electrified — figure appeared to confront The Lizard about the true heritage of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield).
But now those rumors have reached a new level with the involvement of Foxx, who is reportedly in discussions to play Max Dillon, a villainous cretin with the ability to control electricity. Foxx even had some fun with the rumors, tweeting that he "Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well."
Just how well the costume fits remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: With Oscar-winner Foxx potentially on board, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" could be the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler's best — and most deadly — big screen adventure yet.
