During a press conference for the action adventure film "CZ12" (also known as "Chinese Zodiac"), superstar Jackie Chan announced his involvement in yet another rough-and-tumble flick: "Expendables 3"—on one condition.
"Sly had invited me to be in 'Expendables 2' but I was too busy filming CZ12 and couldn't make a commitment to the film. But he did extend his invitation to the third movie, which I agreed on the condition that I will be appearing as more than just a minor role with a few scenes," the actor quipped. We gotta say, we can't blame him. We'd want guaranteed screen time too.
Though the "Expendables 3" doesn't have a release date stenciled in, we think it must be gaining momentum pretty quickly if Stallone is driving this bus. Because he likes to drive fast, and his stars are getting… umm… how shall we put this? Old. Extremely experienced.
But that's not the only sequel Chan has in the works. During the same press conference, he also revealed that the next project he'll work on might be "Rush Hour 4"—yes, there's talk of yet another "Rush Hour" installment. As Total Film reports, it's being described as an East-meets-West comedy, and rumor has it that Chris Tucker is already looking at the script. In other words, it sounds like it will be exactly like the "Rush Hour"s that came before.
We're not sure if they actually talked about "CZ12" at the "CZ12" press conference, but that's beside the point. With Chan on board for "Expendables 3" the hopes for a great trilogy franchise just got much, much better.
