Hugh Jackman stopped by the MTV Livestream booth at the San Diego Comic-Con to talk about next weekend's "The Wolverine," though he looked even further into the future to also chat about his next gig as Logan (his seventh, for those keeping count), "X-Men: Days of Future Past," which opens Summer 2014. Indeed, everyone's favorite cigar-chomping mutant is a man of two worlds in the highly anticipated X-chapter.
"When we began, Bryan Singer, who did 'X-Men 1' and '2,' he's the one who gave me the part, we're sitting with him — Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, you name it, we're all there … and that was like the first month, for six weeks we shot the future sequence. But because I'm the only actor who can play both time periods, because my character doesn't age, I actually also play with all the younger versions."
Jackman relished working with what he calls a huge "Oscar-caliber" cast and marvels at the movie itself, which he describes as "massive, and it's emotional, too — it's epic in every way."
