In addition to headlining the surprise sequel to "10 Things I Hate About You," "Captain America: The First Avenger" British cutie Hayley Atwell will soon be trekking back a few decades to star in the Jimi Hendrix biopic "All Is By My Side."
According to The Playlist, Atwell was confirmed for the film today, despite some song licensing issues the film has had with Hendrix's company Experience Hendrix (Variety states that the movie will utilize interview and archive materials).
Reportedly, the movie will detail the time period from 1966 to 1967, when Hendrix was first discovered by Keith Richards' girlfriend Linda Keith, who then introduced Jimi Hendrix to the Rolling Stones' management and set his career into motion.
Atwell's role for "All Is By My Side" has not yet been confirmed, but just one look at a few photos of Linda Keith and it's clear Atwell's a sure fit for portraying that part.
Leading the movie's cast will be Andre Benjamin (a.k.a. Andre 3000) who'll play Hendrix, and Imogen Poots is also set to star. John Ridley (of "U-Turn" and "Three Kings" writing fame) wrote the script and will direct the film, and production is expected to begin within the coming weeks.
