'[the films of] Guy Ritchie' Will Blow You Away With Cockney

Ever since blowing the lid off British crime movies in 1998 with "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels," Guy Ritchie has been speed-ramping his way to success and, now that he's become a bonafide mainstream/commercial director with the "Sherlock Holmes" series, it's about bloody time we celebrated his filmography.

What better way to recap a movie career than with a stylish mash-up?

Kees van Dijkhuizen Jr. has become the gold standard in such things. His previous tributes to David Fincher, Wes Anderson, Michel Gondry and others say more about those filmmakers' style and motifs than a dozen academic essays.

So what does his "[the films of] Guy Ritchie" assert about said Brit? Well, if anything, the former Mr. Madonna is, if nothing else, consistent. Despite utilizing new film techniques and styles in movies like "Snatch," "Revolver," and "RocknRolla," it's clear Ritchie has a thing for lads with guns, Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham.

What's wrong with having a few directorial fetishes? Nothing, especially when he make things go *boom* so much. Relish every slo-mo, violent, cursing moment of it, even the ever-so-brief clip of the ex in "Swept Away"…
