Gotye's smash hit single "Somebody That I Used to Know" is undoubtedly the biggest song of the year. And "Star Wars" is undoubtedly the biggest film franchise of all time. So what happens when you put the two together?
Well, you get the biggest viral video of the summer, that's what.
Are you ready for "The 'Star Wars' That I Used to Know?"
Racking up nearly two million views in just one weekend, "The 'Star Wars' That I Used to Know" spoofs Gotye's music video for "Somebody That I Used to Know" with a seriously twisted twist: The couple singing to each other is Darth Vader and George Lucas.
And naturally, Vader is bemoaning all the changes Lucas has made to the franchise over the years, while Lucas is defiantly defending his decisions. Of course, fans have been trying to break up with Lucas and "Star Wars" for the last 15 years with no success. Guess that's just how these dysfunctional relationships work, huh?
