'Freaky Deaky' Gets Majorly Freaky Cast Overhaul

This is, well, a little freaky deaky indeed.

Billy Burke, Christian Slater and Breanne Racano have all joined the cast of "Freaky Deaky," the film adaptation of Elmore Leonard's crime novel, according to Variety.

And they'll be replacing Matt Dillon, Brendan Fraser and Katie Cassidy, respectively.

The reasons behind this sudden major casting overhaul are currently unknown, though we have a feeling the film, which is set to be directed by Charlie Matthau, may have gotten a sudden -- and considerable -- budget cut.

Burke will be playing an LAPD bomb squad officer who stumbles upon two former hippie activists (Slater and Racano) plotting to use their bomb-making skills to trick an alcoholic movie mogul into handing over millions of dollars.

This has at least been a good month for Christian Slater so far, who just booked a role in Walter Hill's untitled action flick starring Sylvester Stallone. That guy's never been the best actor in the world, though he's always had something that makes him kind of fascinating to watch.

Newcomer Breanne Racano is set for a recurring role on the final season of HBO's "Entourage."

And Billy Burke, of course, will next be seen reprising his role as Bella's father in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," opening Nov. 18.

Well, "Freaky Deaky" won't quite be the movie we thought it was going to be, but at least it's still happening. Stay tuned as we try to find out just what in the heck is going on here...
