'Fast and Furious 6' Will Peel Out Memorial Day 2013!

We presume projects like "The Moist and the Delicious" are tied up in litigation with rights holders Duncan Hines, while "The Slow and the Tedious" is taking a painfully long amount of time to get off the ground, so what's left on the production roster?

Wait, that's it! Instead of making up some stupid movies (like we just did in the previous paragraph), how about a sequel to one we already know is awesome? After "Fast Five" racked up nearly $600 million at the worldwide box office, the "Fast and the Furious" franchise has proved to be the little franchise that could, and Universal is going way over the speed limit to get the next installment off the assembly line.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Fast & Furious 6" will make a tire-squealing entrance into theaters nationwide on May 24, 2013, better known as Memorial Day weekend. The new film will reunite stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and the rest of the gang with director Justin Lin, on top of celebrating the dozenth year anniversary of the first film, which came out way back in the pre-historic days of 2001.

Universal has also staked out their Ryan Reynolds/Jeff Bridges, "Men In Black"-esque franchise contender "R.I.P.D." for June 28, 2013. With all this release date real estate getting grabbed up, the studio really needs to get on finding a director, producer, and script for our dream project "The Bi and the Curious" starring Megan Fox and Lindsay Lohan.
