"We're the Millers" might just be the little comedy that could. After more than five years in what industry folk like to call "development hell," the flick is finally (almost) in production. And the cast is shaping up pretty nice too, if you ask us. Not that anyone did.
The latest additions to the roster include starlet Emma Roberts and comedy vet Kathryn Hahn, who join Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, Ed Helms and Nick Offerman, IndieWire reports.
Roberts will play Julia, a disturbed 20-year-old runaway who poses as the offspring of Sudeikis and Aniston to somehow help with their plot to ferry 1,400 pounds of marijuana from Mexico to the United States. We're not sure exactly how her pretending to be their daughter fits into their master plan, but we're confident it will all be explained in the end.
Hahn, on the other hand, plays the wife of a DEA agent struggling to take a vacation among all the chaos. Something tells us they do not succeed.
While Hahn has proven her comedy chops time and time again, Roberts is pretty much a newbie to the genre. We know she's got a pretty face, but whether she can bring the laughs remains to be seen. If all goes well, hopefully it will turn out at least as good as her last comedy project, "Scream 4." Just sayin'.
