Elizabeth Banks is hooking up with a new gig.
The "Hunger Games" beauty will soon be nursing a hangover as she's set to star in the morning-after comedy, "Walk of Shame," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Walk of Shame" chronicles the epic journey across Los Angeles that a news anchor (Banks) must undertake upon the aftermath of a drunken one-night stand. Picture "Knocked Up" without the pregnancy and "Falling Dawn" without the fast food restaurant freak-out and you're at least halfway there.
Banks is certainly no stranger to playing a news anchor stuck in a humiliating and potentially dangerous situation, what with her Avery Jessup character on "30 Rock" having spent the better part of not one but two seasons being held prisoner in North Korea. The prolific actress can currently be seen in "Pitch Perfect" and will next be seen contributing to the madness of "Movie 43," opening Jan. 25, 2013.
Production on "Walk of Shame" is set to commence in January, after Elizabeth Banks finishes reprising her role as Effie Trinket in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." Steven Brill ("Mr. Deeds") will direct the film from his own screenplay.
