Ol' Dirty Bastard's life story is still coming to a theater near you … eventually. The rapper also known as Dirt McGirt, Big Baby Jesus or just simply ODB died in 2004, and in 2009 his cousin and fellow Wu-Tang Clan member RZA mentioned a biopic was a possibility.

In a recent interview with XXL, RZA dished some details on the project, and it sounds like it's moving into high gear. Not only that, it's attracted the attention of "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan and actor Eddie Griffin.

It looks like Griffin is the more likely choice to play ODB, for now, if only because the two were friends. RZA told XXL, "Eddie spent time with Dirty... They knew each other well." (Sorry, Tracy. Sounds like you'll have to wait some more for your crack at the EGOT.)

ODB's cousin Raeshawn's been hard at work on the script, and RZA's given his approval. "I think Eddie's already signed on with a letter of intent -- I signed on, of course. So you know [Raeshawn] got my blessin' to make it happen."

RZA's directorial debut, "The Man with the Iron Fists," is already in post-production. Co-written with Eli Roth and starring Russell Crowe, Jamie Chung, Lucy Liu, Pam Grier and a whole host of Hong Kong action stars, "Iron Fists" could give RZA the Hollywood clout to really get the ODB biopic off the ground.

If that's not enough Wu-Tang screen time for your liking, there's more coming our way. Earlier this summer, Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon told XXL that "Lady Killer" Cee Lo Green will play his father in his biopic, "C.R.E.A.M." Raekwon told the mag, "We're definitely going for the theaters … The people that are gonna be involved with it definitely feel like it's a great picture, and there's a definite possibility it's a Lions Gate film." The rapper told New York's Vulture in 2010 about the project, which he is co-directing.
