Dianna Agron Could Be Woody Allen's Roman Muse

When Woody Allen's filmmaking career finally comes to an end (can that be never?), he'll have a legacy of more than 50 years of producing comedies and dramas that can only be described as Woody Allen-esque. He's his own brand.

Allen's also made a living out of helping budding actresses take the big step forward into the spotlight. Mia Farrow, Diane Keaton, Scarlett Johansson -- the man knows talent.

So when Hollywood Reporter announced a confirmation that Allen's next film would be a long-discussed film set in Rome, we were particularly excited by the fact that "Glee" star Dianna Agron felt inclined to shoot out the link on Twitter, with an added ;) expression tacked to the front. Could a gesture as simple as the "winky face" be a hint that Agron is attached to the project? Stranger things have happened.

Agron seems like a great choice for a Woody Allen picture. "Glee" is basically a boot camp in both broad and quick-witted comedy, and she recently proved herself to be a graceful romantic lead in "I Am Number Four," playing it cool alongside then-boyfriend Alex Pettyfer.

She has a little more charm than the spunky Johansson, which might be perfect for a movie set in the sophisticated Rome. If we're lucky, Allen will utilize Agron's musical talents and bring us the European version of his classic "Everyone Says I Love You" -- but for now, it's all wishful thinking.

Until we hear official word, it's all rumor, but we'll keep our fingers crossed and await Agron's next tweet. In the meantime, make sure you're following us @NextMovie!
