One of Hollywood's most oddly endearing marriages has come to and end.

After months of tabloid reports that he cheated on her, Demi Moore has decided to divorce Ashton Kutcher, according to The Wrap.

The "Two and a Half Men" star's fidelity has usually been considered highly dubious by the media, but things came to a this-time-it's-for-real boil last month when Sara Leal, a 22-year-old San Diego woman, described a September sexual encounter with Kutcher in an Us Weekly story headlined, "How Ashton Kutcher Seduced Me" (subtle!).

Kutcher tried to downplay the whole thing in late September when he tweeted a link to Spotify to indicate that he was listening to Public Enemy's "Don't Believe the Hype." He later wrote, "When you ASSUME to know that which you know nothing of you make an ASS out of U and ME."

Demi apparently didn't buy it, and has issued the following statement:

"It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation."

Kutcher, ever the avid tweeter, tweeted "I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK."

Demi Moore, 49, and Ashton Kutcher, 33, were married in September 2005. It was his first marriage and her third. They have no children together.

Stay tuned to see if Demi's ex, Bruce Willis, has anything to say about this.
