Alert! Alert! All citizens of Gotham are advised to be extra careful today while visiting the downtown district, as there have been widespread reports of open fighting in the streets, including a hand-to-hand battle between none other than Bane and Batman himself.
And we have the photos to prove it.
Yes, in the "this is really happening" department, a slew of images hit the internet over the weekend showing the latest action scenes from the filming of "The Dark Knight Rises" -- and if these pics are any indication, Christian Bale's Batman has a real fight on his hands this time around, thanks to Tom Hardy's Bane.
Some brief background for you: "The Dark Knight Rises," which is slated to hit theaters next July 20, is currently filming on location in Pittsburgh. Over the weekend, as it happens, director Christopher Nolan took the whole gang, including Bane and Batman, out into the streets for a huge action sequence. And since it was being filmed right out in the open, well, there were plenty of onlookers that were all too happy to provide the internet with all the buzzworthy photographs of the event you could possibly hope for.
So check out these shots of Batman and Bane indulging in a little old fashioned fisticuffs. And if you want to shout out a "Biff! Sock! Pow!" we won't hold it against you at all.
