It seems like it's been forever since we saw Daniel Craig as the high-flying, martini-drinking 007 (it's actually only been three years), but the wait is almost over—and may be followed by a series of five (yes, five) more Bond flicks in a row. Insert the roar of cheering women here.
With shooting of "Skyfall," Craig's third installment of the secret agent franchise, well underway, producer Michael G Wilson is beginning to talk about his rather ambitious plans for the international heartthrob over the next several years, Cinema Blend reports. And those plans include Bond, a lot of James Bond.
Wilson mused, "Filming has gone very well [on "Skyfall"] and I'd love Daniel to surprass Roger's [Moore] record and do eight pictures." While that's certainly no guarantee, it does sound like Wilson is set to talk it over with the star once "Skyfall" wraps.
It's true that there's no real indication of whether the actor would accept this offer, but there's also no real indication that he wouldn't. Hey, if it ain't broke, why fix it? And if there's one thing it would offer the blue-eyed thesp, it's a semblance of job security, for like, a while. And we all know that in Hollywood that's harder to come by than an Aston Martin DB5.
