Remember when you were a kid and you used to play dress up -- you know, go into your mom's closet, deck yourself out in a sun dress and fedora and put on a fashion show for your stuffed animals? Well, don't look now, but there are people in Hollywood who get paid to do that full time -- and today, they've announced their annual award nominations.
Yes, break out your cosplay gear, because the Costume Designers Guild has released their picks and all the top Oscar contenders are in the running, including "The King's Speech," "The Social Network" and "Black Swan."
Of course, those of you looking to the Costume Designers Guild Awards as a preview of who might win the Best Costume Design award at this year's Oscars are going to have a bit of trouble due to the fact that the CDG splits their nominees into three different categories -- Contemporary Film, Period Film and Fantasy Film.
Still, any excuse to play dress up is good enough for us. So check out the full list of nominees below (and take a look at this interesting video over at People about how they made those ballerina outfits for "Black Swan') and then get to work.
