Every studio understandably now wants their own "Hunger Games." Sony Pictures is smelling a Young Adult franchise as it's looking to partner with Constantin on the live action adaptation of Cassandra Clare's "The Mortal Instruments," according to Screen Rant.

Does the 'S' stand for "Superman," or for "Snyder?" The DC superhero poised for a cinematic comeback in June 2013 gets a predictably "edgier" new symbol as Warner Bros. unveils the official logo for Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel," on display at the film's Facebook page.

For those who know the man and his movies, this should come as no surprise. Amidst all of the hurlyburly over the rating (or, rather, un-rating) of "Bully," Harvey Weinstein is planning a PG-13 cut of the acclaimed documentary, according to Vulture.

Kristin Hannah has emerged as Hollywood's latest Hot New Author. Deadline reports that two of Hannah's novels are set for movie adaptations: the war drama "Home Front," which "Harry Potter" alum Chris Columbus is attached to direct, and "The Things We Do For Love," a teen pregnancy drama being developed as a starring vehicle for Abigail Breslin.

Hooray for Mickey Rourke, Champion of Canines! E! Online brings word that the "Immortals" star and longtime dog aficionado has adopted a stray pup found on the set of "Dead in Tombstone," a thriller that Rourke is currently shooting in Romania.
