You've no doubt heard about that whole thing where Disney bought "Star Wars." And you've probably seen all of the fan-created mashups where the various "Star Wars" heroes and villains interact with Disney characters. They're oddly uplifting, no? As if the Empire built the Magic Castle instead of the Death Star.
Now, what if, in an alternate world in a galaxy far, far away, Pixar (another Disney purchase) bought Universal Studios? Sure, that would mean that Halloween Horror Nights probably wouldn't feature girls in slave bikinis trapped in cages anymore, but it would also mean that the studio behind your favorite animated films (such as, you know, "Monsters Inc.," which comes out in 3-D this weekend) would now own the classic Universal monsters.
You're probably now imagining what the likes of Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster and the Wolf Man might look like if they were Pixar-ized. Well, snap out of that daydream and let us take care of those terrifying yet oddly cute visions for you, courtesy of our pal Old Red Jalopy. There are even a couple of more modern, non-Universal creatures in there for good measure.
They were always tragic creatures. Now they're kind of adorable, too.
