Christoph Waltz is one tough cookie—and not just because he happens to play a bad a** in most of his films (though, you know, that too).
The "Inglorious Bastards" thesp actually dislocated his pelvis bone (ouch!) during a horse riding accident during pre-production of Quentin Tarantino's upcoming "Django Unchained," which tells the story of slave-turned-bounty hunter sets out to rescue his wife from the brutal Calvin Candie, a Mississippi plantation owner.
While the injury did force the Oscar-winning star to miss the opening night of the New York Film Festival (where "Carnage" premiered), it's not going to keep him away from the call of duty for long. As Total Film reports, a statement from Waltz's agent promised, "Waltz is currently being treated for a dislocated pelvic bone and is looking forward to getting back in the saddle."
Really? "Looking forward?" He's a better man than us.
Maybe he feels the heat to keep things moving along since the shoot is slated to start next month, and already has a release date of Dec. 25, 2012 locked down. Or maybe it's just because he wants to get this horse-riding nonsense over with.
Either way, we can't wait to see him trot across the silver screen with Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson by his side.
