Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis are two Hollywood mainstays with careers that are climbing high. Literally. These rising stars have both been tagged for leads in the upcoming sci-fi flick, "Jupiter Ascending," helmed by none other than Lana and Andy Wachowski.
Though the plot for the feature is being kept under tight wraps, it will mark the Wachowskis' first major science fiction action franchise move since their 1999 blockbuster, "The Matrix," which became the first of three (hit) movies in that vein.
Also like that trilogy, "Jupiter Ascending" is an original creation by the duo (giving us hope that even though their last few efforts haven't been able to duplicate their $1.6 billion "Matrix" success, this next one just might).
We'll find out soon either way, as word on the street is that it's on track to start production later this year, Deadline reports. We gotta say, if Tatum (fresh off his success with both "The Vow" and "21 Jump Street") and Kunis (who nearly stole the show in "Black Swan" and charmed us all in "Friends with Benefits") get on board, odds are good that the Wachowskis might have another Hollywood fairytale on their hands with this sci-fi venture.
