All of the week's hot casting news in one fell swoop ...

• Here's another entry in the ever-growing action subgenre of "Neesploitation." Liam Neeson will do more punching and shooting and, apparently, running in "Run All Night," a thriller about a mob hit man who takes on his former boss. The "Taken" star will reunite with his "Unknown" and "Non-Stop" director, Jaume Collet-Sera. [Deadline]

• Hey, James Franco, who does your hair? The "Spring Breakers" star continues to refuse to be typecast as he's set to star in and direct "Beautiful People," a biopic about charismatic playboy and visionary Jay Sebring, the jet-setting hairstylist to the stars in the 1960s who romanced gorgeous actress Sharon Tate. Franco's quite the spitting image of Sebring, no? [Deadline]

• Speaking of biopics and the '60s, Paul Dano is picking up good vibrations as he'll be playing Beach Boys frontman Brian Wilson in "Love & Mercy." Atticus Ross, who won an Oscar for his work with Trent Reznor on the score for "The Social Network," is in talks to design the film's soundscape. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Patrick Stewart can certainly act ... but can he dance? The once and future Professor X will join Carla Gugino and Matthew Lillard in "Match," adapted from Stephen Belber's ("Tape") 2004 play about a Juilliard dance instructor whose past comes a'callin' when he's visited by a young couple under the pretense of being interviewed for the wife's thesis on the New York dance movement of the 1960s. • There's going to be a Metallica movie, and Dane DeHaan is going to be in it. The future Harry Osborn in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" will headline "Metallica Through the Never" (not "Metallica Into Darkness," mind you), a concert film that will also feature a narrative involving a young crew member sent out on an urgent mission while the band is playing a rousing live set in front of a sold-out crowd who unexpectedly finds his world turned completely upside down. Bradley Cooper has been recruited to protect America. The "Silver Linings Playbook" star will headline "Dark Invasion," a true spy thriller set in 1915 when Germany, with war raging in Europe, sent their Secret Service to America in an attempt to keep the still-neutral U.S. from helping the Allies. Cooper will play Tom Tunney, the NYPD captain assigned with bringing the German spies to justice. [Deadline]

Kid Cudi has a "Need For Speed," too. The hip hop artist (otherwise known as Scott Mescudi) will be joining Aarol Paul, Imogen Poots and Dominic Cooper in the high-speed thriller about a New York-to-Los Angeles street race. The film is based on the Electronic Arts video game series and was undoubtedly greenlit because we all keep going to the "Fast and Furious" movies. [Heat Vision]

Louis C.K.: Movie Star sounds good to us. The stand-up comic and star of the hit meta-comedy series "Louie" is in talks to join Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner and Amy Adams in David O. Russell's formerly titled "American Bulls**t," a period drama centering on con artist Mel Weinberg, who worked with the FBI in a far-reaching corruption case. [The Hollywood Reporter]
