Scarlett Johansson is back on the market, in a big way—but it's probably not what you think. The blond bombshell is auctioning of a chance to meet with her on the red carpet for her newest film, "We Bought a Zoo." (Guess these days that counts as a "date.")
Proceeds from the sale will benefit Blessings in a Backpack, a non-profit that provides meals for over 55,000 children in more than 318 schools. According to the Huffington Post, the organization focuses on providing these children with meals over the weekends, when they might otherwise go without any food at all.
Johansson has been active in both politics and various charities for some time now.
"There are people in America who are absolutely desperate right now, who have no means to support their families, who have no opportunities to better themselves or their education" the actress told fellow activist Ariana Huffington for "Interview" magazine.
The bidding is valued at $5,000 (not sure who came up with that number-- though it sounds reasonable to us) and will take place on CharityBuzz.com. So get ready to spend that holiday bonus a little early!
