What's scarier than a gang of zombies chasing you through the streets? Crowds of freaked-out people trying to escape the zombies, that's what!
Fans and professionals alike were chomping at the bit to get bit parts in the Brad Pitt zom-pocalypse film "World War Z," but one extra got more excitement than she bargained for when she fell during a scene with 700 extras and assorted crew. It ended up being a mixed blessing, though, because mega-star and beard expert Brad Pitt saved her.
Talk about method acting.

According to one eye witness, "It was total chaos as 700 extras were trying to get down the street. They were banging into moving cars, cameras and military who were carrying heavy machine guns… Brad didn't have time to speak to her as it was mid-shoot. But she said afterwards how grateful she was, despite having a badly-grazed knee."
A skinned knee and memories that will last a lifetime! Those SAG cards pay off, I tell you.
"World War Z," which is based on the novel by Max Brooks, has faced a slew of problems before even getting to the screen, from money woes to rewrites. Now it's making fans angry with its just-released plot details, which seem to have little in common with the book itself. However, as peeved as fans of the book are, it's doubtful that a zombie flick with a badass cast and a major studio backing it will be a bomb at the box office. Of course, its slated release date is December 21, 2012, so by then we might be fighting real zombies on the streets.
