"The Dark Knight Rises" easily won the box office race this weekend, as according to Film.com, the final installment in Christopher Nolan's epic Batman trilogy earned an estimated $64 million, nearly five times as much as the second place film.
That spot belonged to "Ice Age: Continental Drift," which brought in just $13.3 million. With many fans staying home to watch the Olympics, though, that was still enough to edge out "The Watch," which fell flat in its debut, earning only $13 million despite a bevy of top comedy stars including Ben Stiller and Jonah Hill.
