Bilbo Baggins and his band of hirsute buddies easily won the box office again this weekend, as according to Film.com, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" earned an estimated $36.7 million to take the top spot.
That was more than double the amount of second place finisher "Jack Reacher" ($15.6 million), while fellow newcomers "This Is 40" ($12 million) and "The Guilt Trip" ($5.4 million) also failed to make much of an impression on movie fans.
For a full list of this weekend's box office top ten, including numbers for returning hits "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," "Life of Pi" and "Skyfall," head to Film.com.
