Drop everything. Another castmate for "The Hunger Games" sequel "Catching Fire" has just been announced by Lionsgate. That zany District 3 she-tribute Wiress (better known as "Nuts") has now been found in Amanda Plummer!
We originally envisioned Sean Young for the part, but now that we think about it, Plummer's right on target.
Remember the oh-so-off-kilter Honey Bunny from "Pulp Fiction"? That's her. Did you catch the looney Nettie Cobb in "Needful Things"? Yep, her.
Plummer's got loads of experience tinkering with off-their-rocker characters, so she's plenty able to portray the Wiress we know and love from "Catching Fire." We can already picture her chanting "tick tock, tick tock" and irritating Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence).
Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark), Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), Willow Shields (Primrose Everdeen), Stanley Tucci (Caesar Flickerman), Toby Jones (Claudius Templesmith), Donald Sutherland (President Coriolanus Snow), Lenny Kravitz (Cinna), Elizabeth Banks (Effie Trinket), Woody Harrelson (Haymitch Abernathy), and Paula Malcomson (Mrs. Everdeen) are all expected to reprise their "Hunger Games" roles for the sequel as well.
"Catching Fire" hits theaters on Nov. 22, 2013.
