Who isn't starring in Lee Daniels' "The Butler?"
"Magic Mike" hottie Alex Pettyfer has now joined the cast of the "Precious" director's all-star line-up, taking on a character named Thomas Westphall, who helps shape the life of Eugene Allen, the real-life White House butler for eight consecutive presidents upon whom the film is based, reports Deadline.
Filming on the project is expected to begin in mid-July in New Orleans, so that pretty much puts the nail in the coffin of any last-minute hopes that Alex Pettyfer might still nab the role of Finnick Odair in the first "Hunger Games" sequel, "Catching Fire." We didn't think it'd happen anyway, but now it's all but certain he won't do the movie.
"The Butler" stars Forrest Whitaker in the lead as the titular character, and the movie also features David Oyelowo, Oprah Winfrey, Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda, John Cusack, Matthew McConaughey, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Lenny Kravitz and Terrence Howard. That's quite a bevy of Hollywood heavyweights. Pettyfer's in good company, then.
