Admit it. When it comes to the MTV Movie Awards, Best Kiss is so totally your favorite category.
Oh sure, the other categories are cool and fun and important and blah blah whatever. But kissing is sexy. It's romantic. When done right, it makes your pulse race. It's... well, do you need any more reasons than that?
Pucker up, grab a bucket of popcorn, a partner (optional) and some Chapstick, and relive the greatest kisses of 2010.
Ellen Page and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, 'Inception'
"Inception" is a great, brainy, twisty movie, but aside from Cobb's (Leonardo DiCaprio) moony recollections of his late wife, there isn't a lot of romance in it. And that's a damn shame -- a waste of a fiiiine-looking cast in Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page and Tom Hardy. When Arthur (Gordon-Levitt) and Ariadne (Page) share a moment in the building lobby, our hopes rise... but it's just a think-quick tactic to try to make the dream convincing. Or so Arthur says. Nicely played, JGL, nicely played.
Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1'
WHAT?! Harry and Hermione kissing? But... but... Hold onto your sputter, the steamy snogging between two friends is nothing more than a figment of Ron's jealousy-fueled hallucination. (The fact that it's topless? Well, Ron has a vivid imagination.) Ron roared with rage, and so did scores of "Harry Potter" fans who know that Hermione and Ron are 4-evah. Still, some of us... kinda liked seeing Harry and Hermione getting it on, and couldn't help but wonder, What if? Ahem. Don't hurt us.
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'
Spoiler alert: Edward and Bella kiss in this movie. Get out! We know! Seriously, any smooch between our favorite interspecies twosome is exciting, and not just because Edward could go from kissing her face to biting it off at any moment. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are professionals, so the fact that they are dating in real life isn't what makes this macking-in-a-meadow scene so hot. But it doesn't hurt.
Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'
Goodness, Bella certainly does get around in "Eclipse." And can you blame her? Team Jacob gets a win when, on the verge of battle, Bella and Jacob finally share the long, lingering kiss that proves Jacob was right all along -- these two have chemistry to burn. Unfortunately, it isn't enough: Despite their mountaintop moment, Bella chooses to spend eternity with her vampire BF, not her werewolf BFF. Poor Jacob. But if you get to have only one real kiss with the woman you love, what a way to go.
Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, 'Black Swan'
Before the glowing reviews, the awards attention, the successful box office, the Oscar for Natalie Portman... before all that, "Black Swan" was known as "that movie where Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis make out." And oh boy, do they ever, with the rival ballerinas coming home from a night of clubbing to kiss and make up. And kiss some more. And do other stuff. Who cares whether what happened was real or not? It certainly curled our toe shoes.
